I get this everyday when calling the parts store please have all the vehicle information ready . We even get the garages calling without the correct info. Here is a list of some info to have ready for a better parts store experience.
1. Year, make and model
2. engine size
3. automatic or manual transmission
The first three can get you a long way on most apllications
4. wheel size such as 13" 14" 15" etc
5. wheel base mainly for truck exhaust ( measure center wheel to center wheel front to back)
6. model code example ex,dx,lx,se,gt etc.
7. build date located usally on drivers door ( parts may be for vehicles a year prior or a year newer
8 gross vehicle weight
9.braking system mainly with or with out abs(antilock brakes)
These nine items will make yours and our lives easier. But beware this is just common info to have ready depending on make and model the may be some additional questions to be asked
